Sanef condemns threats on eNCA reporter Lindsay Dentlinger’s life
Sanef said the abuse, which included rape threats, was uncalled for and has called for media freedom to be protected.
This follows a video on social media suggesting that senior eNCA reporter Lindsay Dentlinger racially discriminated against members of Parliament when asking them to put their masks on during a post-budget speech interview.
This follows a backlash over interviews she conducted with politicians following Finance Minister Tito Mboweni's Budget speech last month.
On Tuesday, a group of African National Congress members picketed outside eNCA's head office in Hyde Park.

The ANC's Jessie Duarte has also urged Icasa to investigate whether eNCA's conduct was inconsistent with its licence conditions.
The ANC is angry over the recent behaviour of eNCA journalist Lindsay Dentlinger after video footage went viral showing her asking only black MPs to put their masks on during interviews.
This follows a montage of video clips on YouTube showing the journalist asking some politicians to keep their masks on during an interview while allowing others to speak without a mask.
