Jerobejin van Wyk murder: Daniel Smit still awaiting psychiatric evaluation
The Klawer Magistrates Court heard that Daniel Smit was number 87 on the waiting list for a space at the facility.
The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) on Tuesday confirmed that murder-accused Daniel Smit was number 93 on the waiting list for psychiatric evaluation.
56-year-old Daniel Smit is charged with murdering 13-year-old Jerobejin Van Wyk in February.
The Klawer Magistrate's Court on Monday postponed the case to 21 June.
The teen's alleged killer Daniel Smit appeared in the dock on Tuesday where the defence made an application for the 56-year-old to be referred to Valkenberg Psychiatric Hospital for observation.
