DA calls for national roll out of Safe School call centres
The Western Cape Education Department’s Safe Schools call centre recorded 1,034 cases of crime in the 2017/18 financial year.
The DA has received its own copy of the 6,000 page e-toll system contract.
Sanral maintains it has done everything by the book.
The DA says it will be able to scrutinise the 6,000 page document for the first time.
The DA says it will appeal to the transport minister and the president not to sign the e-tolls bill.
A medical report suggests the country's road death stats may be higher than reported by govt.
Parliament has delayed the implementation of e-tolling until February 2013.
Sanral now has two months to prove just how quickly it can get e-tolling implemented.
Democratic Alliance MP Ian Ollis says government is misreading the law.
Eyewitness News understands Sanral CEO Nazir Alli had tried to resign before.
