Kenya cuts 2019/20 financial year spending plans by 2.1%
The former finance minister Henry Rotich was criticised for raising spending in June and imposing additional tax measures on already squeezed taxpayers.
Henry Rotich, who has been in the finance post since 2013, pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to corruption charges in connection with tenders for the construction of two dams.
Rotich, together with other senior officials, is accused of conspiring to defraud the public among other charges.
