Final 'Game of Thrones' season to air in first half of 2019
The Emmy-winning medieval fantasy series is HBO’s biggest hit ever with some 30 million viewers in the United States and an army of devoted fans worldwide.
Cable channel HBO said on Thursday that “Game of Thrones” would return in 2019 for a six-episode final season. It did not specify the month.
The company's mid-range plan, which allows streaming on two devices at the same time, was increased to $10.99 per month from $9.99.
The prospects of a final reunion between the TV show’s four original stars Parker, Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis, have been discussed for years.
They also leaked episodes of 'Insecure,' 'Ballers' and 'The Deuce,' according to the Associated Press.
The show’s seventh season premiered with record ratings on Sunday, drawing some 16.1 million US viewers, HBO said.
Maher issued a statement on Saturday apologising for the comment, which HBO called “inexcusable.”
