DA court bid to overturn ban on hairdressers postponed
The personal care industry has been restricted since March and is still prohibited from operating under lockdown level three.
Discreet house calls have become routine for a hairdresser who found herself out of a job when salons and barber shops were forced to close under the coronavirus lockdown.
The minister on Thursday gave an overview of what citizens can expect from Monday when the regulations for level 3 of the lockdown kick in.
Arguments were delivered on Wednesday and the judgment was handed down earlier on Thursday.
Hairdressers would theoretically only be allowed to return to work at level 1 of the lockdown.
With level 3 regulations set to come into effect next week, those in the hair and beauty industry are still not being allowed to fully operate.
