Health officials said the latest case involves a man from a northeastern rural community, who arrived in Goma on 13 July and was later diagnosed.
The patient is a pastor who had been preaching in church and would have touched the hands of worshippers "including the sick", the ministry said in a statement.
The shootings came as Martin Fayulu, controversially beaten by fellow opposition candidate Felix Tshisekedi in the December 30 presidential election, was in the province for a meeting at Butembo, 266 km from Goma.
