The 41st president died Friday, aged 94, at his home in Texas - "a very gentle and peaceful passing," his lifelong friend and advisor James Baker said Sunday on ABC's "This Week."
Bush, 93, was admitted to Houston Methodist Hospital on Sunday, spokesman Jim McGrath said in a statement.
Bush was the wife of the 41st president, George HW Bush, and mother of the 43rd, George W. Bush.
