On Friday, the court ruled that load shedding was unconstitutional, ordering Eskom and Electricity Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa to exempt schools, hospitals and police stations from the rolling power cuts.
Load shedding has been reduced to stage three from Monday morning until 4PM in the afternoon before the rolling power cuts are ramped up to stage four.

The minister said with some generating units expected to return to service during the week, there would be more generating capacity, allowing for lower stages of load shedding. there will be more capacity on the power grid, which would also allow some days to have load shedding suspended.
Briefing the media on Sunday, Electricity Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa said: 'I want to repeat on record, we were never at Stage 8; we were on Stage 6.'
Eskom said Stage 4 will kick in from 12:00 on Sunday to 05:00 on Monday, thereafter, Stage 3 and 4 will alternate until Thursday.
