Emmanuel Sithole’s family unhappy with killers’ sentence
The Mozambican national’s family hoped his two killers would get sentences of 20 years to life.
Sifundo Mzimela and Mthinta Bhengu were found guilty of the murder on 18 April.
Images of the killing went viral after the ‘Sunday Times’ published pictures of the attack.
It's understood defence lawyer Tshege Ntake is relocating & has to hand the matter to another lawyer.
The state prosecutor could not attend proceedings while the defence lawyer has had to hand the case over.
The Mozambican vendor was stabbed to death in Alexandra in April.
On Monday, two of the three accused were denied bail in the Alexandra Magistrates Court.
Two of the three suspects accused of stabbing Emmanuel Josias to death will remain behind bars.
The case has been postponed to 27 May and the accused will remain in custody.
The court is expected to decide on Monday whether the accused will be granted bail.
Two of the four accused in the Mozambican national’s murder have entered plea bargains with the state.
