Judgment reserved in appeal bid of convicted child rapist Nicholas Ninow
Nicholas Ninow was sentenced to life behind bars last year after being found guilty of raping a seven-year-old girl at a Dros restaurant in Pretoria in 2018.
Members of the public and officials from different political parties and NGOs were elated after the judge passed the sentence.
Dubbed the Dros rapist, Nicholas Ninow was handed life in prison for rape and a five-year sentence for the possession of drugs and a further five-year sentence for defeating the ends of justice.
Ninow said he didn’t know what was going through his mind when he violated the little girl. He blamed alcohol and drugs as contributing factors to him raping her.
Ninow was found guilty on four counts including rape. He violated a seven-year-old girl in the toilet of a Dross restaurant in September last year.
