The military ombudsman has recommended that soldiers implicated in Collins Khosa’s killing face disciplinary action.

A report by the Military Ombudsman found that the soldiers acted improperly, irregularly, and in contravention of their code of conduct when they entered Khosa’s home in Alexandra earlier this year to enforce lockdown regulations.

An SANDF report said that that the Khosa's altercation with the soldiers didn’t cause his death as they merely pushed him to force him to comply with officers.
The findings of the inquiry were attached to an affidavit filed in the High Court in Pretoria by the SANDF’s legal adviser.
The SANDF inquiry report said that the altercation was not what caused his death when taking into account the postmortem report.
