Cash for jobs scandal
6 Gauteng Education officials suspended after cash-for-posts scandal
The group is accused of facilitating the permanent appointments of two general assistants in exchange for money.
About 220 people were promised training and employment by an unknown man during a military recruitment workshop in Pretoria.
The issue was raised during the Basic Education Dept's meeting in Parliament on progress made with the 'Jobs for Cash' report.
The teachers' union says it will implement harsh action against any of its members implicated in the report.
The union says Angie Motshekga should hang her head in shame for postponing the release of the report.
The report is expected to be made public early next month.
Yesterday, Motshekga announced that a final report into the ‘jobs for cash scandal’, is in its final stages.
Sadtu members are accused of selling jobs for a minimum of R30,000.
