Thousands of people lined the streets of Cape Town for the annual Tweede Nuwe Jaar celebrations. Around 60 minstrel troupes from various suburbs in the Mother City made their way through the city's streets.
Organizers say they're expecting between 60,000 and 100,000 people to attend Tuesday's highly anticipated event.
