Beijing red alert
Smog choking Beijing as govt issues red alert
The Chinese capital has been placed on red alert for the second time ever after immense levels of air pollution were recorded. CNN’s Matt Rivers reports.
Residents across a large part of its north were warned to prepare for a wave of severe smog.
A red alert is triggered when the government believes air quality will be 'very' bad.
Some dealers are saying inquiries about all-electric models are up by almost a 10th.
The warning is an upgrade from an orange alert issued over the weekend.
