The under-fire advocate faces three counts of perjury when she appears the Pretoria Magistrates High Court this morning.

The Constitutional Court has dismissed Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane’s appeal against a personal costs order and confirmed the High Court’s adverse findings against the advocate. It upheld the order that she personally pay 15% of the South African Reserve Bank’s legal fees related to the Bankorp lifeboat matter.
In its response to the Constitutional Court ruling, the Public Protector's office said that it is not clear how it would be able to do our work without fear, favour or prejudice going forward.
The Constitutional Court has dismissed Advocate Busisiwe Mkhwebane’s appeal against a personal costs order.
The High Court ordered Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane to personally pick up part of the reserve bank’s legal fees because there was a reasonable apprehension that she was biased in her investigation.
The advocate is not challenging the court’s decision to set aside her report and its remedial action but just the adverse findings against her.
The party says this is to allow for greater consultation with its structures and key stakeholders.
