Alex protesters granted bail
The EFF says it will cover the bail costs for its members who were arrested last week.
The township was the scene of violence last week following allegations of vote tampering.
The army was called into the area late Friday following clashes linked to the 7 May polls.
The party won over six percent of the national vote and became the official opposition in two provinces.
It is understood residents have arrived in the area to show their support for EFF and IFP members.
Members have been demonstrating over the provincial results and have called for a rerun of the polls.
