• Ramaphosa: SA moves to level three lockdown with immediate effect

    President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that the country will be moving back to level three restrictions with some adjustments. Ramaphosa said this was essential in the fight against COVID-19 and was necessary in order to reduce the burden on health care workers. This comes after the country breached the 1 million mark of infections.

    Motorists caught with alcohol in their possession on Saturday evening were asked to drain their booze or face jail time during an operation led by Gauteng Provincial Commissioner Lt General Elias Mawela and Gauteng MEC for Community Safety Faith Mazibuko.
