    Islamic State suicide bombers kill scores at Kabul airport

    The bombings, claimed by the Islamic State group, left scenes of carnage outside the airport where thousands of Afghans desperate to flee their country had massed despite a flurry of foreign government warnings - made just hours before - that a major terror attack was imminent.

    Biden delays meeting with Israeli PM amid Kabul blasts

    The two leaders will now meet at the White House Friday morning, Bennett's office said. They will first talk one-on-one, then make statements to the press and then continue negotiations with the participation of their staffs.

    Western nations warn of terror threat at Kabul airport

    Huge crowds are gathered in and around the airport, becoming increasingly desperate as some foreign nations cease flights ahead of Tuesday's deadline by President Joe Biden to end the evacuations and withdraw the US troops overseeing it.

    Uganda welcomes first group of Afghan refugees

    More evacuees from Afghanistan are expected to arrive at a later time in Uganda from the war-torn country, the ministry said. It said it followed a request from the US government to temporarily host "at-risk" Afghan nationals and others who are in transit to the United States and other destinations worldwide.

    Biden says US will complete Afghan pullout by 31 August

    The US president said he had discussed the evacuation with Group of Seven leaders earlier Tuesday and they agreed to 'continue our close cooperation to get people out as efficiently and safely as possible'.

    Putin says Russia will not 'meddle' in Afghanistan

    'We're not going to meddle in Afghanistan's domestic affairs or involve our military in a conflict where everyone is against each other,' President Vladimir Putin said at a gathering of officials from the ruling United Russia party.

    Taliban's treatment of women a 'red line': UN rights chief

    Bachelet said her office had received credible reports of serious violations in places that have been under Taliban control, including summary executions, restrictions of women's rights, blocking girls from attending school and the recruitment of child soldiers.
