You've heard the saying, 'too many cooks spoil the broth'.
Well, what about too many chefs on a reality TV show, cooking for a R300 000 prize?
That's the premise of Die Drukkoker-kombuis (The Pressure Cooker Kitchen) on VIA TV.
Morne Carelse of Farm Boy Cuisine is one of the chefs, battling to stay in the game, but can he handle the heat?
"We are five chefs and five managers, and it's like speed dating, you pick a partner which you can run this restaurant with and then you get scored and judged."

"It's high-stakes, there's a lot of curveballs!"

Of course Morne, who heads up Farm Boy Cuisine, is no stranger to cooking under pressure.
"I've been working across Africa, Scandanavia, on luxury cruise ships, so I've been around the block a couple of times."

But when the judges are your fellow competitors, that ups the stakes somewhat.
"It makes it reality. You know, they give you feedback on your food based on how they perceieve it and what they know."
