JOHANNESBURG - The Springbok Women's Sevens team shined in Krakow to become the winners of the HSBC Sevens Challenger Krakow 2025.
The Springbok Women Sevens have qualified for the HSBC SVNS Playoff in Los Angeles.
South Africa capped off a dominant weekend in Krakow in the women’s competition with a convincing 21-12 win over Argentina in the final showdown on Saturday, following a 22-0 shutout against the same opponents on Friday.
The Springbok Women won all their fixtures across both days (Friday and Saturday), reaffirming their status as a powerhouse on the sevens stage.
Having twice finished runners-up to Kenya in the series on Saturday afternoon, South Africa outplayed the East Africans 22-10 in the semi-final.
Though the win wasn’t enough to topple Kenya from the top of the standings, as they had won the two Cape Town legs.
Kenya Women were crowned overall champions of the HSBC Sevens Challenger Series, following a string of impressive performances across all three rounds.
