CAPE TOWN - Police say no arrests have yet been made in connection with the murder of a teenage girl in Caledon.
Deveney Nel's body was found in a storeroom at the Overberg High School last week.
According to a Rapport newspaper article, she'd been stabbed.
The 16-year-old girl was in grade 10.
Nel's murder is being investigated by provincial serious and violent crime detectives, who are yet to make a breakthrough in the case.
The 16-year-old was reported missing by her mother on Wednesday.
Caledon police established a search party and found the girl's body in a storeroom at the Overberg High School.
The Western Cape Education Department (WCED) said the school was open on Monday and counselling sessions would continue.
This tragedy comes as the country marks Women's Month - a period that sees the spotlight shone on gender-based violence and femicide.
