More than 40 people trapped after building collapses in George
Officials said the residential building, opposite the George Municipality's main offices, was still under construction.

CAPE TOWN - A five-storey building has collapsed in George, leaving more than 40 people trapped underneath the rubble.
Officials said the residential building, opposite the George Municipality's main offices, was still under construction.
George municipality spokesperson, Chantel Edwards: "The street is being blocked off at the moment and a number of disaster services, including George, Garden Route, and Mossel Bay disaster services are currently busy with the rescue operation. Local ambulances and SAPS are there as well."
