Madlanga Commission: Messages between Vusimuzi 'Cat' Matlala and Brown Mogotsi take centre stage

Messages between alleged underworld figure and tender tycoon, Vusimuzi 'Cat' Matlala and North West businessman, Brown Mogotsi, have taken centre stage at the Madlanga Commission.
Crime Intelligence boss, Dumisani Khumalo, has pulled up messages between the pair as part of his evidence to the commission in Pretoria.
The messages between Mogotsi and Matlala are centred around the payment of R37,000 to a Mahikeng business called Gotlhe Specialists.
The company is allegedly linked to the travel industry.

A payment of R38,000 was made to Gotlhe Specialists by Matalala in December last year.
Evidence leader, advocate Adlia Hassim, says the commission has uncovered that gothle specialists paid Mogotsi a sum of money from the R38,000.
"I'd like to just bring to the commissioner's attention that we have done some investigative work on this account and that will be provided to the commission in due course, but for now, we can confirm that there were payments from this account to Mr Brown Mogotsi."
