Ramaphosa ends his speech by saying he hopes the Lord will bless Africa.

President Ramaphosa has vowed to serve all South Africans.

"We must be a society who values excellence." 

"All South Africans want action... we don't want words and promises. There shall be action in our land to reshape our country in the image of our dreams."

"As we make this bold declaration, we are aware of the challenges."

Ramaphosa is now addressing unemployment among youth, as well as the effects of state capture

"Our people have felt the warm embrace of liberty."

"Today we reaffirm our determination to work with out sisters and brothers across the continent," saidRamaphosa.

"We are deeply honoured by the presence of heads of state here today."

There's a mood of celebration among South Africans at the stadium today. Others have shared their excitement on social media, after Cyril Ramaphosa was sworn in as president.

It's been announced that there is free Vodacom WiFi to share pictures to social media. 

"I will do justice to all and devote myself," said Ramaphosa.

Cyril Ramaphosa is taking the oath of office.

Former Speaker Baleka Mbete has called on the crowd to respect prayers and speeches being made. "I see people moving around," she said.

Religious leaders have taken to the stage to pray before Cyril Ramaphosa takes the oath of office.

EFF leader Julius Malema is always ready to share his views! The EFF leader said Cyril Ramaphosa should not appoint Pravin Gordhan. His comments relate to the Public Protector's report, which found Gordhan guilty of acting improperly when he approved the early retirement of former Sars commissioner Ivan Pillay and authorised his full pension benefits.
