CapeTalk's Sara-Jayne Makwala King chats to the four band members in studio.
Reggae-influenced band the Rocc Lobsters have made the move from Durban to Cape Town to follow their musical dream.
They've also just dropped their latest single 'Living It Up'.
Sara-Jayne chats to Evan Williams, Jordan Mangoss, Yaseen Margro and Dylan Mangoss in the CapeTalk studios.
After making music together for two or three years now, they felt they'd outgrown Durban.
"That's not meant in an arrogant way, but there just weren't as many opportunities as provided down here in Cape Town, particularly for live music."
Jordan Mangoss, Rocc Lobster
'There's a vibe of people who want to see live music in Cape Town', is the band consensus.
The reggae sound that drew the four together has now evolved, resulting in a genre they call 'liquid rocc', because it's hard to define.
The group's already played one live gig in Cape Town, and has quite a few more lined up at some hot local venues including The House of Machines and Trenchtown.
