It was found that there was little supervision from the teachers during the excursion.

Law firm representative Meshack Ntshupetsang says only the learners and camp facilitators could account for what happened on the day.
"All the educators could not see, including the principal could not see how she drowned, but could only give an account after the incident.
"We say this because, during our investigation, it's only the facilitators of the camp that could give account and the learners on how Latoya drowned," said Ntshupetsang Attorneys representative Meshack Ntshupetsang.
The law firm has also recommended that the GDE compensate Temilton's family for her death.
The GDE is yet to determine the exact amount that will be given to the family.
According to Ntshupetsang, the payment is a moral obligation towards the family.
The grade 7 pupil's death sparked public outrage after parents accused Laerskool Queenswood in Pretoria of trying to keep them quiet about her death.
