Late acting veteran Don Mlangeni Nawa fondly remembered by son

JOHANNESBURG - Legendary actor, Don Mlangeni Nawa, has been described as the father of the nation.
His son, on soapie Isidingo, Tshepho Maseko, shared his fond memories of the renowned actor following his passing.
In a statement on Wednesday, the family confirmed the death of the 65-year-old actor.
Soweto-born star Don Mlangeni Nawa, born in 1959, was an unforgettable actor who first graced the world of theater before going on screen.
His earliest work as a loanshark, Laqhasha, on Sgudi Snyaysi, in the 1980 sitcom was a character that many loved.
The veteran's contributions to the world of film in South Africa did not just end with his renowned role as Bra Zeb Matabane on Isidingo but extended to his latest roles in The River to Shaka iLembe before his death.
Tshepo Maseko: "But I mean, we spoke about everything, about how to look after money, how to invest, how to look after his craft, how he, how we should never take drugs, how we should take his craft very seriously, how we should try and humanise every single character."
The Nawa family shared that they would give further updates on the actor's memorial service and funeral details in due course.
