DURBAN - The South African Local Government Association (SALGA) in KwaZulu-Natal will on Wednesday hold a media briefing to address political killings.
In the latest incident, Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) councillor from the Nongoma Local Municipality, Ndukwenhle Duma, was killed.

SALGA has, as a result, noted with concern the trend of politically-motivated killings.
It recently called on police to focus on efforts to arrest masterminds instead of the hitmen carrying out the killings.
The killing of politicians in KwaZulu-Natal is one of the many issues plaguing its provincial government, with the killing of councillors being a great concern for the local government association.
Last week, Duma was shot and killed execution-style.
Tragically, four school pupils were also shot during the attack, with one of them being killed.
SALGA in the province said it wanted to address the issue, calling on police to invest more in these cases.
