Kaizer Chiefs to face African giants Asante Kotoko in Toyota Cup showdown

The 2025 Toyota Cup returns as Kaizer Chiefs face Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko at Moses Mabhida Stadium on 26 July.
The AmaKhosi will be eyeing redemption after losing 4–0 to the Young Africans of Tanzania when the tournament debuted last year.

Chiefs Marketing Director Jessica Motaung says the tournament is about celebrating African talent.
“We are proud to face Asante Kotoko… We want to grow our footprint in West Africa while creating an unforgettable experience for our fans.”
The two sides last met in 2001 in the Vodacom Challenge, where Chiefs won on penalties following a goalless game.
