The state of our rail network is dire, but that may change with the help of the private sector.

Government has launched an online Request For Information (RFI) to allow private sector participation in the rail and ports sectors.

This should drive new investment.

Pike is cautiously optimistic about the RFI but notes it will take some time before we see the impact.
