Attention musicians, DJs, bands, and poets!

Whether you're a seasoned performer or starting out, the Fête de la Musique offers you the opportunity to gain exposure.

Now in it's 14th edition, the festival has grown into one of the most anticipated cultural events, offering free performances across diverse genres.

"Fête de la Musique is a free music festival...it's open to anyone...we'd love for you to spend the day with us and listen to some amazing South African musicians."
- Aysha Waja, French Institute of South Africa
"It started in France as kind of just a day for music. In France, people just play music anywhere on the street. In South Africa, we've organised a specific festival for it to help support emerging and young South African musicians at the start of their careers and to give them a platform to perform so that South Africa and the world can know about them."
- Aysha Waja, French Institute of South Africa
