JOHANNESBURG - The Gauteng Education Department says it is waiting for the official report from Pretoria High School for Girls on the outcomes of a disciplinary hearing against 12 pupils.
Spokesperson Steve Mabona said that the content of the report will allow the department to map a way forward.
This after it emerged that the 12 pupils suspended for alleged racism have been cleared of wrongdoing.
The fresh racism allegations at the school relate to a so called "Whites only" WhatsApp group which the students were accused of using to share racial microaggressions.
The ordeal also resulted in a decision by the Gauteng Education Department to suspend the school's principal this week.
Mabona said that they will wait for the report before making any decisions.
