The deputy high commissioner for South Africa in the United Kingdom, Dineo Mathlako, confirmed to Eyewitness News that out of more than 24,000 registered voters in the country, 13,283 did so over three days.
The Independent Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) said there were no major incidents reported at the other 110 voting stations abroad.
Now it’s over to the rest of the nearly 28 million South Africans set to make their mark on 29 May.
