The ANC’s NEC, which is its highest decision-making body in between conferences, is holding its final meeting for the year, deeply divided over the matter.

The premier is expected to announce a new Health MEC following the dismissal of Dr Bandile Masuku in October.
Former Nelson Mandela Bay councillor Andile Lungisa was released on parole on Tuesday after he qualified for special remission.
