The South African cyclist finished 8th at the Tour de France won by Team Sky’s Chris Froome on Saturday for the 4th time.
It was the Norwegian's 1st of the tour after twice finishing as a runner-up and the team's 1st win of the event.
It was his second of the Tour and a fifth for French riders - one of their most successful returns in recent years.
