Bundesliga eager to expand into Africa: ‘There is opportunity for growth’

With an estimated 14.5 million viewers in South Africa alone, the Bundesliga has shown great interest in expanding its reach to the African continent.
This includes accessing audiences, engaging with local clubs, and developing local talent.

Beyond the expansion of its audience, Mahes believes it is a phenomenal league for African footballers to get into.
From Sadio Mane to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Jay-Jay Okocha, African talent has soared on the Bundesliga stage.
