Benoni school drownings: Family of one of the victims calling for answers

JOHANNESBURG - Mourners gathered at the Rabasotho Hall in Tembisa for the funeral service of the two pupils who drowned at a camp in Centurion are calling for answers.
Siphamandla Peterson and Sibusiso Sibiya, who attended the Daveyton Skills School lost their lives while on a discipline camp.
The Sibiya family said the Gauteng Department of Education had failed them.
Spokesperson for the family Thandanani Sibiya spoke to Eyewitness News on the sidelines of his nephew’s funeral on Wednesday.
He said after Education MEC Matome Chiloane visited the family last week, they've had no communication on the matter.
“We were failed from day one especially about everything. We were not given the information on time and even now we still don't have answers.”
