702's John Perlman interviews Arthur Goldstuck, CEO of World Wide Worx.
Listen below:
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is already making a profound impact on workplaces and industries.
When utilised effectively, AI has the potential to enhance productivity and improve work processes, according to Goldstuck.
However, he cautions that rather than serving as a tool for advancement, AI is increasingly being "used as a shield for incompetence."
In this context, AI becomes a crutch that masks inefficiency - rather than driving meaningful improvement.

Goldstuck argues that this misuse of AI is not only unproductive, but also cultivates a culture of mediocrity, where accountability and critical thinking are sidelined.
While there are undoubtedly benefits to integrating AI, he highlights a concerning trend. When employees fail to perform their duties, AI ends up filling the gaps, which could lead to a dangerous reliance on automation.
In the long term, Goldstuck warns that this could foster a mindset where critical thinking is viewed as replaceable by AI.
"There's a tremendous danger in relying on AI."
