Jazz instrumentalist Malcolm Jiyane will headline a genre-blending night of music and art on 4 May at the iconic August House in Johannesburg.
The event features a rich lineup, including FRANKZULU the 3rd, DJ Ghamgha spinning Afrobeat and world music, and DJ Baddie closing off with alternative jazz.
"We’re not trying to box it as just a jazz event, but to box it as a music and arts event. Obviously not commercialising it with genres you will find in common places."
- Kabzero, event organiser
Kabzero describes this as a "one-of-a-kind" event, bringing together jazz, alternative sounds, and visual art in a space steeped in creative history.
It's not just for jazz lovers, adds Kabzero, but for anyone looking for a fresh and soulful night out in the city.
