JOHANNESBURG - ActionSA has joined calls to remove Democratic Alliance (DA) member of Parliament (MP) Renaldo Gouws from the National Assembly.
Gouws made headlines after a video he shot in 2009 resurfaced on social media, where he went on a rant about how white people are subjected to reverse apartheid.
Earlier this week, Gouws was suspended by the DA after more than 50,000 people signed a petition for his removal from Parliament.

ActionSA chief whip Lerato Ngobeni said that racist people shouldn't be allowed to serve as public representatives.
"We want to see Mr Gouws and people like him being held accountable and for them to not be allowed to represent those types of voices in our society. We need a tolerant society, we’ve seen violence escalate. Those types of voices must be dealt with and they must be dealt with decisively."
