Deputy commissioner Hardin Ratshisusu said the competition instructed Vodacom and MTN to reduce prices by at least 50% and 30%.
In December, the Competition Commission called on MTN and Vodacom to reduce the price of data by the beginning of February or face prosecution.
The Lesotho Communications Authority confirmed that it slapped Vodacom with an R8.2 million penalties for failing to pay regulatory fees on time.
