Sascoc saddened, shocked by passing of ex-CEO Tubby Reddy
Reddy died on Wednesday at the age of 62.
Details surrounding his passing are unclear at this stage.
Sascoc president Barry Hendricks has clarified that the country's two athletes who won medals at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and those who may pick up medals at the Paralympics would receive financial incentives.
In a statement on Tuesday morning, Sascoc president, Barry Hendriks, said that reports that the governing body would not be rewarding Tatjana Schoenmaker and Bianca Buitendag were wide of the mark.
Sascoc on Monday confirmed that Tatjana Schoenmaker and Bianca Buitendag, South Africa’s only two medallists at the Games, would not be getting bonuses.
Schoenmaker and Buitendag were the only athletes from Team South Africa to win medals at the Tokyo games.
Sascoc announced representatives across seven sporting codes namely athletics, climbing, cycling, gymnastics, hockey (men and women), sailing and surfing.
"He was a consummate politician and inspirational leader, with a decorated career in both the sporting and political arenas."
Its been a tumultuous year for the custodians of South African cricket, to say the least, with the board room and the behind the scenes operations taking centre stage, with very little happening on the field.
This follows the resignation of the entire CSA board over the weekend.
