Nelson mandela bay deputy mayor mongameli bobani
Mayor Bobani likely to survive the chop... again, thanks to the EFF
Opposition parties are again gunning for Mayor Mongameli Bobani's head at a Thursday afternoon council meeting in Port Elizabeth.
Addressing hundreds of UDM members at the party’s 20th-anniversary celebration in Midrand on Saturday, Holomisa said the DA must respect its coalition partners.
The UDM has been ordered to pay the costs of the respondent.
The party says the move is to demonstrate to the DA that it cannot govern alone without smaller parties in those municipalities.

Mongameli Bobani was removed as Nelson Mandela Bay Deputy Mayor through a motion of no confidence at a council meeting last week.
Bantu Holomisa says he has yet to see the evidence and has threatened to go to court on Monday to force the DA to reveal the contents of the report.
Eastern Cape DA leader Qaba Bhanga says the reason for showing Nelson Mandela Bay deputy mayor Mongameli Bobani the door is because he's been making the coalition unstable.
Following a meeting between coalition partners on Monday night, the DA withdrew its ultimatum to the UDM for the removal of Bobani from the mayoral committee.
