India through to T20 World Cup final after semis washout
Former champions England were only able to finish second in Group B after losing their tournament opener against South Africa.
Having lost the T20 series, South Africa would have been looking to bounce back in the 50 over format.
Cricket South Africa (CSA) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have agreed to replace one of the two washed-out matches in the current T20 series with another match.
Indian opener Mithali Raj scored an unbeaten 54 of 48 deliveries to guide the Indian women’s side to a seven-wicket victory over the Proteas women’s side in the first T20 International in Potchefstroom on Tuesday.
