The previous owner of the Zambezi Spar in the north of Pretoria says that after Chris Giannakopoulos took over her branch, he fired all the employees and hired new staff.
EWN revealed on Monday that the Spar Guild had instructed that Chris Giannakopoulos shall play no further part in the management and control of Spars within his various companies.
EWN has learned that the organisation that runs the Spar supermarket franchise has instructed that a human resources audit be conducted at all the Spars owned by Chris Giannakopoulos, who has been accused of assaulting staff and unfair labour practice.
Giannakopoulos first started making headlines in October last year when he was accused of beating a female employee at a Food Lover's Market store in Hartebeespoort.
In one incident, Chris Giannakopoulos allegedly assaulted employees with a wooden pallet.
