Suspended Tshwane Metropolitan Police Department (TMPD) Deputy Chief Umashi Dhlamini has denied interfering in tender processes before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry.
Dhlamini returned to the hotseat on Friday for further questioning.
He was suspended in March after he was implicated in tender rigging allegations.

Dhlamini has been questioned about his relationship with Sergeant Fannie Nkosi and the conversations they had about tenders in the TMPD.
One of the tenders that is under scrutiny is the R2.9 billion tender awarded to a company named Ngaphesheya, which is owned by Nkosi’s brother.
On Thursday, commissioners questioned Dhlamini on a WhatsApp message that showed him asking Nkosi to enquire with the CFO about the companies that were shortlisted for the tender
Dhlamini has denied any wrongdoing or interference.
He has also denied having any dealings with the city’s CFO, Gareth Mnisi, despite being presented with WhatsApp messages suggesting so.
