Police hunt for killers after woman shot dead near Joburg CCMA

Gauteng police confirmed they were investigating a case of murder after a 35-year-old woman was shot dead near the CCMA offices in the Johannesburg CBD.

Preliminary reports indicate that she was followed by two unidentified gunmen near the corner of Joubert and Fox streets before she was shot. 

Eyewitnesses said the shooters fled the scene on foot after the incident.

It was believed the woman was a legal representative for a matter sitting at the commission at the time of the attack.

Police said they were searching for the killers, but no arrests had yet been made.
