Zungu claims police assaulted him into signing it.

According to a key State witness, Zungu’s room at the Basotho Hostel was used to plan the murder of Meyiwa and it was also where the accused reconvened after the crime.

But Zungu has denied this and he also distanced himself from a statement that he signed that give details about the day Meyiwa was murdered.

When shown arial shot pictures of the Vosloorus municipal precinct, he pointed out exactly where he was allegedly assaulted by Ekurhuleni Metro Police officers.

The place that Gwabini pointed out is almost the exact same spot that Muzi Sibiya, the first accused, also claims he was assaulted by police when he signed his confession statement in 2020.

Sibiya pointed out the same place during the inspection in loco where court was taken to Vosloorus in July.

Zungu will continue with his testimony on Tuesday morning.
