The Parliament Ad Hoc Committee probing police corruption expects a busy week as it meets this morning to finalise its witness programme, before it receives more evidence from key witnesses.
The former head of the Independent Police Investigative Directorate, Robert McBride, will take the hotseat when proceedings resume evidence tomorrow.
Suspended Empd Deputy Chief Julius Mkhwanazi will also answer to allegations of malfeasance and his alleged ties to crime.
Kingpin Vusimuzi 'Cat' Matlal will also appear before the ad hoc committee later in the week.
Their appearances come after the evidence of former acting commissioner Khomotso Phahlane and head of intelligence Dumisani Khumalo last week.
Head of intelligence Khumalo last week testified that most police in Gauteng were either in the pockets of the crime cartel or moonlighting for syndicates.

This week, the committee will gett evidence from two more witnesses as it tries to piece together evidence and allegations of corruption.
"We have a very busy week with Mr McBride coming here on Tuesday and Wednesday. Julius Mkhwanazi is coming on Thursday and Friday," said committee chairperson Soviet Lekganyane.
McBride can expect to be grilled by the committee about allegations of unduly influencing police operations, while Mkhwanazi will have to answer to allegations of being paid off by Matlala and illegally providing private vehicles with police blue lights.
